Meet Our Laborers
Bro. Aaron & Ms. Bethany Patton
Bro. Aaron, Dean of Students, grew up in North Carolina. Despite growing up in both a good home and church, around the age of 11, he fell in with the wrong crowd and began getting into trouble including gang activity, drugs, and alcohol. At the age of 13, he was kicked out of school and his mom made the difficult decision to send him to a boy’s home. While at the home, the Lord graciously saved his soul and turned his life around.
Once departed from the boys' home, he went on to serve in the United States Marine Corps. After serving his time in the military, he relocated to Indiana to marry his wife, Bethany.
While there, he served as an active member in his church in various roles, and also worked as a local police officer for 7 years. He surrendered to the call to preach in 2013 and God later called him and his family to serve as missionaries at the boys home that he was in himself 17 years prior.
Ms. Bethany was born and raised in the state of Indiana and was raised a pastor’s daughter. She was gloriously saved at the age of 16, and is grateful to be serving the Lord in this unique, and much needed ministry with her husband and their three children, Naomi, Moriah, and Malachi.
Through a series of Divine appointments, the Lord allowed our paths to cross with Bro. Patton’s once again and the Lord meshed our hearts together almost immediately. The Lord made it clear that this is where He desires for them to be and we are grateful to have them here, serving alongside us.
the Miller Family
Bro. Justin & Ms. Joni Miller
Justin Miller, Property Manager, grew up in Ohio, and after being taken to church as a young boy by a neighbor, was the first in his family to begin attending church faithfully and to be gloriously saved. Unfortunately, he fell out of church as the years went on and in his teenage years became bitter towards God and rebellion took over.
During his last year of high school, he came to the desire to make things right with the Lord and attended church once again thanks to the invitation and Godly testimony of a friend. He repented of his sins and renewed his fellowship with Christ.
Soon after, the Lord called Bro. Miller to preach the Word. He has served faithfully throughout the years as a church trustee, leading a nursing home ministry, filling the pulpit when able, assisting with property maintenance around the church, teaching Sunday School, Truck Stop chaplain, church secretary, and youth pastor.
Ms. Joni was born and raised in the state of Ohio and was saved at the age of 7. Her father became pastor of their church when she was 14. She is now a mother of four, Trinity, Titus, Titan, and Trevor.
They are thankful for the privilege to be a witness for the Lord and are grateful for the opportunity to serve here at Still Waters.
